Letter to the Editor: Study Abroad
I would like to thank Stephanie Zedolik for her thoughtful article (“Opinion” November 7, 2014), sharing her experiences and explaining the value of studying abroad. I agree that the experience of studying abroad not only broadens a student’s understanding of the world but also increases a student’s confidence once he or she returns home.
At the Study Abroad Office, we are always here to help King’s students learn more about opportunities to study, intern, or engage in service-learning abroad. These programs are available to all students, regardless of major, as part of their undergraduate education at King’s. We assist students in finding the right program, guide students through the application process, and help students find out about scholarship and financial aid options.
King’s students are currently participating in education abroad programs offered on six continents. Popular destinations include England, Ireland, Italy, Spain and France, as well as Australia, China, South Africa and Peru. We offer many programs through leading universities and providers, as well as short-term programs led by King’s College faculty.
I would like to remind students about the upcoming faculty-led study abroad programs for summer 2015.
The application deadline is approaching. Completed applications are due by November 21.
If you are interested in one of the faculty-led programs please contact, Ms. Renata Evan. email@example.com
Feel free to email with any other questions regarding study abroad.
